We would like to extend a BIG thank-you to Richard from Jack Wolfskin who took us through a presentation and training module yesterday.
He walked us through how Jack Wolfskin are able to track each and every piece used in their products to ensure it is fairly manufactured and produced with as little impact on the environment as possible.
We also learnt just how waterproof the materials Jack Wolfskin use are and the differences in waterproofness and breathability across the mid to high end range of jackets and windstoppers.
It was interesting to understand why Jack Wolfskin decided to develop it's own breathable and waterproof membranes, rather than use Gore-Tex, as they wanted to be able to trace every part of the manufacturing process to ensure workers were paid fairly.
What's impressed us most about Jack Wolfskin so far is the quality, versatility and value you get with their products. You really do get great value for money and you feel a lot of research, development and common sense has gone into each design.
We are really excited to stock a comprehensive range and we are going to be launching an exclusive in-store competition soon, to tie in with their TV advertising campaign.
Watch this space and we will post an update soon with all the details.
